Средства следователя по обеспечению гражданского иска

The means available to an investigator for the security of a civil suit are not allocated by the legislator in a separate proposition of the criminal procedural law, which considerably lowers the legal efficiency of protecting the valuable interests of a victim in the investigation of a criminal case. Examining the list of interrelated criminal procedural means aimed at the compensation of property damage inflicted on the complainant, the author compares them to the civil procedural means and based on this comparative legal analysis, comes to the conclusion regarding the necessity of amending Chapter 21 of the Criminal Procedural Code of the RF "General Conditions of Preliminary Investigation" by a legal proposition allocating the means available to an investigator for the security of a civil suit.
