Аннотация:

Perfectionism is demanding of oneself or others a higher quality of performance than is required by the situation. A clinical picture of the perfectionist is presented. Perfectionism most commonly develops in an insecure child who needs approval, acceptance, and affection from parents who are difficult to please. Later perfectionism combats self-belittlement. Perfectionism is a means of obtaining interpersonal supplies while compulsiveness is a mechanism for warding off unacceptable feelings and impulses. Each trait is to be dealt with separately clinically.
